Talk about heart breaking…This is Sam. Sam is now 9 yrs. old. He was living with his owner who was a single older man that had cancer. After the man passed away Sam was passed around to family members, none of which could keep him. Sam was isolated while his owner suffered with cancer and we were told that Sam is the only thing that kept his owner alive. He loved Sam more than life itself. But he could not hold on and Sam found himself alone. TSBHR was called in October 2019 and we immediately took Sam in and placed him in foster care. Once in Tri-State's care, Sam was fully vetted and found to be heartworm positive. He was immediately treated and is now heartworm-free. Sam has behavioral issues that just need to be understood. Sam resides with a wonderful foster mom who loves him and respects his triggers. Sam loves other dogs. Tri State has brought Sam up to date on all his vaccines and vetting, we treated his heart worms and we provide monthly preventatives to keep Sam healthy. Sam is a forever foster due to his repeat bite history.
